The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on July 16, the Ingush MIA reported that 50-year-old Magomed Daliev, suspected of involvement in an armed assault on a bank in the village of Sunzha, died at a police station during interrogation. According to the Ingush MIA, the detainee's death could be caused by heart attack. Daliev's relatives treat the accident as a murder. On July 19, it became known that the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) launched the criminal investigation into the death of Magomed Daliev on the charge of abuse of power committed by staff members of the Ingush MIA.

Marem Tochieva, the wife of Magomed Daliev, was beaten by law enforcers and tortured. This was claimed by Sirazhdin Sultygov, a member of the public movement "Mekhk-Kkhel". In the criminal case, Marem Tochieva was granted victim status.

On August 3, in Magas, at the meeting with Sergey Bachurin, the head of the Chief Department for the NCFD of the Russian MIA, Yunus-Bek Evkurov announced a request to send to Ingushetia a special commission for the investigation.
