Residents of Volgograd village reproach "Edinaya Rossiya" Party for holding "drunken" primaries

On June 26, the primaries to determine the candidate for the post of the head of the Kletskaya rural settlement were accompanied by bribing of local people with alcoholic beverages and accusations of candidates of various violations. This was reported by the villagers. On the background of the scandal, the regional branch of the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party had to re-hold the voting.

After the primaries held by the "Edinaya Rossiya" Party to identify candidates for the post of the head of the Kletskaya rural settlement of the Srednyaya Akhtuba District of the Volgograd Region, the leader of the regional executive committee of the "Edinaya Rossiya" Party received a complaint, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

Three participants of the primaries have accused Natalia Kostyaeva, the fourth candidate, the deputy head of the rural settlement of "bribing the voters with alcoholic beverages."

According to candidate Roman Shakhabov, "when reproached for committing violations, Natalia Kostyaeva did not react and openly used her mobile phone to give instructions concerning distribution of alcoholic beverages."

In turn, Natalia Kostyaeva states that "allegations of bribing voters are false."

On July 8, the repeated voting was held within the primaries. This was reported by the spokesman of the regional branch of the "Edinaya Rossiya" Party. The primaries were won by Natalia Kostyaeva.
