About 300 residents of Vladikavkaz ask for help in repairing their houses hit by hail (+video)
As of June 6, the administration of Vladikavkaz received about 300 appeals from residents of Vladikavkaz, the capital of North Ossetia. Most of their applications deal with repair of roofs of private houses damaged by hail.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on 5 June the republic was hit by heavy rains and hail, which damaged power lines, fell trees and damaged roofs. Five people were injured.
Calls are mainly received from residents of Shota Rustaveli, Shmulevich, Khetagurov, Koibaev, Ardonskaya and Kutuzov Street, local self-governments have reported.
"All the applications collected, a special commission will examine the houses and define the sums needed for repairs," said the Mayoralty.
Tonight, Vyacheslav Bitarov, the head of North Ossetia, will visit the village of Gizel, also affected by the natural calamity. On June 5, they tried to disperse storm clouds in North Ossetia.
