American journalists refuse to appeal against actions of FSB agents in Sochi

Employees of the American HBO TV Channel have finished the filming scheduled in Sochi, Dmitri Saltykovsky, the producer of the group of American journalists, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent. According to his story, the detention of journalists by border guards and the court's judgement to impose a fine on him were unlawful; however, they would not file any complaints because of lack of time.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 3, in Sochi, Alexander Valov, the editor-in-chief of the website "BlogSochi", was detained together with Dmitri Saltykovsky, an employee of the American HBO TV Channel, and a group of TV journalists from the United States, in the territory of the Sochi settlement of Vesyoloe-Psou, where on June 2, 11 houses from the so-called "Olympic Legacy Fund" were sold out. The detainees were taken to the FSB building. Power agents claimed that the detainees had violated the frontier regime. In the evening on June 3, American journalists were released.

Today, Dmitri Saltykovsky, a producer of the American HBO group, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the journalists had actually completed all the filming scheduled in Sochi, and intended to soon leave the city.

The Americans will not file any complaints against the actions of FSB agents for lack of time, although they consider these actions illegitimate, because, in their opinion, they had committed no illegal acts.
