Political analysts: residents of Georgia disappointed by ruling coalition

In Georgia, the ruling coalition is supported by 20% of the population, while the opposition by 19%. These are the results of the questioning conducted by the "IPM Research" by order of the International Republican Institute (IRI). On the eve of the elections, residents of Georgia are disappointed by the activities of the "Georgian Dream". This opinion was expressed by Georgian political analysts questioned by the "Caucasian Knot".

According to the survey, 13% of respondents would support the "Free Democrats" Party; and 8% the Labour Party. When asked "To who would you never give your vote?" 31% of respondents mentioned the "Georgian Dream" Party; while 25% of respondents would not vote for the "United National Movement" (UNM), the IRI's website reports.

In the course of the survey, the "IPM Research" questioned 1500 people older than 18 years.

Kakha Gogolashvili, the head of the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies, has explained the fall of the rating of the "Georgian Dream" by "deterioration of people's lives."

According to the survey, 70% of the population believe that Georgia is developing in the wrong direction, notes political analyst Georgy Meladze.

As a part of questioning, the International Republican Institute has compiled a rating of Georgian politicians. According to the rating, members of the "Georgian Dream" received the highest number of negative responses.

According to the rating, Paatua Burchuladze appeared to be the most popular politician: his activities were approved by 75% of the respondents. Paatua Burchuladze is an opera singer, who founded his own political organization "Foundation for Development of Georgia".
