Relatives of Abu Umar al-Shishani fail to confirm his death

So far, there is no confirmation of the death of Abu Umar al-Shishani (Tarkhan Batirashvili), a native of Georgia and one of the leaders of the terrorist "Islamic State" (IS), said Tarkhan's relatives and residents of Georgia's Pankisi Gorge.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that Pentagon had informed about an air attack on March 4, aimed to kill Abu Umar al-Shishani.

Tarkhan Batirashvili, one of the leaders of the terrorist IS, banned in Russia, was born in 1986 in the Pankisi Gorge. His father is a Georgian, and mother is of Kistin nationality (a Georgian Chechen).

"I know nothing about my son's death; it is announced almost every month,", the "Interfax" quotes Teimuraz, Tarkhan's father.

Omar Khagngoshvili, the Imam living in the Pankisi Gorge, also said that he knows nothing about the death of Tarkhan Batirashvili.

According to Akhludin Zhakalaev, another resident of the Gorge, the information about the Tarkhan's death has reached them, but "it is not confirmed."

Let us remind you that the death of Batirashvili was announced for at least seven times, but each time the data was not confirmed. Among those, who stated Batirashvili's death, was the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov.
