Chechen public employees instructed to attend rally in honour of Ramzan Kadyrov

Officials from Chechen public agencies and chiefs of the budgetary organizations have received a notification on the preparation for the rally in support of Ramzan Kadyrov, the "Caucasian Knot" has been reported by informed sources.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the second Ramzan Kadyrov's term at the post of the Chechen leader expires on April 5. In February, he repeatedly announced that he had no desire to continue leading the republic, and the Ramzan Kadyrov's subordinates responded by calls to stay their "padishah", made on behalf of the Muslims and the Chechen people.

"We have been informed that... a rally in support of Ramzan Kadyrov is to be held. We are instructed to notify all employees to be at the place in due time. Chiefs are responsible for the attendance of the rally," reports a public employee of one of the Chechen Ministries, who preferred to remain anonymous.

The action is to show that the population of Chechnya unanimously supports the current leader of the republic, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was explained by the principal of a secondary professional education institution in Grozny.

"It is clear that the notification to hold a mass rally in support of Ramzan Kadyrov comes from the top. Yesterday, we were instructed to direct to the rally as many people as possible, not only our direct subordinates and students, but also all those who could come. We were also instructed to have banners in support of Ramzan Kadyrov and his portraits," said the source, who preferred to remain anonymous.
