In two districts of Dagestan, two children wounded from air rifle

In Dagestan, two incidents with air guns have occurred during the same day: in the Kazbek District, a local resident wounded an 11-year-old child in his eye, and in the Untsukul District, a teenager made a shot on a 12-year-old boy, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports. According to the police, both incidents occurred as a result of careless handling of weapons.

According to the regional MIA, on December 19, a 16-year resident of the village of Dylym of the Kazbek District wounded his 11-year-old villager from an air rifle. The police seized from the suspect an MP-512 air rifle of 4.5-mm calibre.

The injured child with a wound to his left eye was brought to the Central Republican Hospital of the Kazbek District. This has been reported today by the press service of the Dagestani MIA on the official website.

On the same day, the second incident has occurred in the village of Maidanskoe of the Untsukul District. "As a result of careless handling of a pneumatic MP-53M pistol, a young man, born in 2001, produced a random shot and wounded his twelve-year-old villager in the front part of his head," states the report. The wounded boy is brought to the republican multidisciplinary hospital of the village of Shamilkala.
