About 100 people come to rally after Vladikavkaz resident's death at police station

About 100 relatives and neighbours of a resident of Vladikavkaz, who died in the course of the interrogation at the police station, demanded to punish the persons responsible for his death. Arthur Akhmetkhanov, Minister of the Internal Affairs (MIA) of North Ossetia, has reported on the transfer of the criminal case to the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that according to the North Ossetian MIA, a 39-year-old resident of Vladikavkaz, who was detained on October 31 and who was suspected of wounding a policeman from a firearm, committed an act of self-mutilation during his interrogation and later died in a hospital. However, users of social networks have questioned the reasons for the death of the detainee.

Update as at 4:10 p.m. Moscow time of November 02, 2015. Today, relatives and neighbours of Tskaev have held a spontaneous rally in front of the building of the North Ossetian MIA. According to the organizers, the rally was attended by about 100 people. The protesters demanded to punish the persons responsible for the Tskaev's death, to dismiss the Minister of Internal Affairs for the region, and "to carry out a cleaning in the law enforcement bodies."

According to Arthur Akhmetkhanov, North Ossetian Minister of Internal Affairs, the MIA for the region has appointed a service check. The Minister has also emphasized that the investigation into the fact of the incident is underway, and the case materials are forwarded to the ICRF.
