Over 50 persons come out to protest in Yerevan

A new protest action of the movement "Arise, Armenia!" was held in Republic Square. Activists of the "Constituent Parliament" came to support the protesters.

Members of the movement "Arise, Armenia!" have reported that today is 40 days since the start of a series of protests, and stated the need to change the ruling regime, noting that "if not to do it now, it may be late tomorrow."

Andreas Gukasyan, a member of the board of the movement, said in his speech that the authorities "are leading the country into the abyss; and the constitutional reforms put forward are another confirmation."

"The people have the right to elect the leader of their country. It is time to demand impeachment. We need to achieve extraordinary, honest and transparent elections," said Gukasyan.

He also put forward his action plan, according to which activists should surround and block the government building, demanding that President Sargsyan "resigns voluntarily."

In their turn, activists of the "Constituent Parliament" expressed their readiness to mobilize the people and the opposition. Their supporters came to the rally with the flags of Armenia and the European Union. Speakers offered to form a government of trust, but not on the partisan basis.
