Programme of Forum "Mashuk-2015" focuses on patriotism

By organizers' estimates, the opening ceremony of the North-Caucasian Youth Forum "Mashuk-2015" was attended by about 2700 persons. This year, the programme of the forum is aimed at the patriotic upbringing; and the main declared topics are the jubilee of the victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 2000th anniversary of Derbent.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this year's Sixth Forum "Mashuk-2015" will be held in two phases – on July 23-31, and from July 31 to August 7. Delegations from all the regions of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD) are the participants.

The North-Caucasian Youth Forum "Mashuk" is held annually since 2010 in Pyatigorsk. According to organizers, it is a social and enlightenment project aimed at educating young people aged 18-30, who are interested in politics, economy, science and innovations, civil initiatives, arts and creativity.

The opening ceremony was attended by a delegation of heads of subjects of the NCFD, headed by Sergey Melikov, the envoy of the Russian President to the NCFD. He called this event the hallmark of the whole NCFD and noted that the largest novelty in the programme of the forum was its focus on patriotism and ideological unity.

Today, Mr Melikov has held a meeting with the heads of the regions, where they spoke about the priorities in the work with the youth. He noted that to date in the territory of the NCFD, the share of young people is higher than in other Russian regions; however, not always the work with young people is run at the proper level.
