In Ingushetia, local woman complains to Ingush Prosecutor about arbitrariness of law enforcers

Law enforcers planted a grenade to Ruslan Tsurov, a resident of Nazran. This was claimed by his family members. The wife of Ruslan Tsurov has filed a complaint to the Prosecutor's Office of Ingushetia about the actions of the law enforcers.

The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by Aza Torshkhoeva, the wife of Ruslan Tsurov, that she filed to the Prosecutor's Office a complaint about the actions of the law enforcers who carried out a search in her apartment and charged her husband with possession of weapon without any legal grounds.

According to Aza Torshkhoeva, during the search, only her minor son was at home, and he faced threats. Besides, "her daughter and Aza Torshkhoeva herself have also been subjected to threats and humiliation."

The woman explained that on May 8, the criminal case was initiated against her husband under Article "Illegal purchase, transfer, selling, storage, transportation or carrying of firearms, its basic parts, ammunition". A month later, on June 8, the Nazran District Court extended the detention in custody of Ruslan Tsurov at the Karabulak SIZO (pre-trial prison) for other 30 days. After that, on June 11, Aza Torshkhoeva appealed to the Prosecutor's Office.

According to advocate Batyr Akhilgov, who represents the interests of Ruslan Tsurov, his client received an offer to defame himself. The advocate has noted that "the innocence of his client is obvious" and that "the actions of the police are puzzling."
