In USA, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's friend sentenced to 3.5 years of imprisonment

Azamat Tazhayakov, a citizen of Kazakhstan, who was familiar with Dhzokhar Tsarnaev, sentenced in the case of the terror act in Boston in 2013, has been found guilty by the court of obstruction of the investigation into the terror act and conspiracy for the purpose of plotting a terror act.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that apart from Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the case materials on the terror act also mentioned Azamat Tazhayakov and Dias Kadyrbaev, citizens of Kazakhstan. In November 2014, the announcement of the verdict against Azamat Tazhayakov and Dias Kadyrbaev was postponed by the US court for 2015.

The court of Boston has sentenced Azamat Tazhayakov to 3.5 years of imprisonment, the RIA "Novosti" quoted the court's message as reporting. At trial, Azamat Tazhayakov has stated that he condemns the Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's act and apologizes to residents of Boston, the "BBC" reports.

Till present, the comments of the defendant and his advocates regarding the verdict are not available yet.

Let us remind you that Dias Kadyrbaev has been sentenced to 6 years of imprisonment on charges of obstructing the investigation into the terror act committed during the Boston Marathon. On May 15, Dzhokhar Tsarnaev himself, accused of committing the terror act in Boston, was sentenced by the US jury court to capital punishment, i.e., death penalty.
