Stavropol doctors place Magomed Aliev into guarded neurosurgery ward

Magomed Aliev, a student, suspected of promoting terrorism, has been transferred from the intensive care unit to the neurosurgery ward of the Stavropol City Hospital No. 4. His relatives have appealed to the head of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) stating the misconduct of local investigators.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a native of Dagestan Magomed Aliev was detained on November 21 on suspicion of recruiting mercenaries to Syria. On November 27, the young man got from SIZO to hospital, where doctors removed a pen out of his eye.

Magomed Aliev's health condition is now better; and on Monday he was transferred from intensive care to neurosurgery, said his sister Djamilya Ibragimova. According to her story, on December 13 Aliev "began suffering from brain swelling; and his heart rate went down," but "doctors applied some emergency medical therapy, and the patient felt better."

According to Ibragimova, she sent a request to the head of the ICRF Alexander Bastrykin asking to assess the actions of the Stavropol Investigating Department.
