The Supreme Court (SC) of Dagestan has started the trial in the case of the terror act, which killed religious leader Said Afandi al-Chirkawi and six other persons. The prisoners' dock contains four residents of Dagestan.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 28, 2012, an explosion occurred in the house of Sufi Sheikh Said Atsaev (al-Chirkawi) in the village of Chirkei of the Buynaksk District of Dagestan. The bomb was activated by a female suicide bomber. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), she entered the Said Afandi al-Chirkawi's house under the guise of a pilgrim. Eight persons were killed as a result of the terror act.

In December 2012, three suspected organizers of the terror act Dagestani residents Shikhmirza Labazanov, Magomedali Amirkhanov, and Magomed Gadjiev were detained. Later, law enforcers detained Akhmed Israpilov, one more suspect. According to investigators, all suspects took part in the preparation of suicide bomber Aminat Saprykina, who committed suicide bombing in the Said Afandi al-Chirkawi's house.

The case is considered by a panel of three judges of the SC of Dagestan.
