Mothers of Ingushetia residents killed in Plievo demand to bring to justice persons responsible for their sons' deaths

On March 29, the mothers of Bashir Dyshnoev and Muslim Kuriev, who were killed on March 22 during the special operation conducted in the village of Plievo, appealed to the Nazran Inter-District Investigating Division of the Investigating Department for Ingushetia and to human rights organizations. In their appeal, the mothers of the killed men asked to assist in the protection of their rights and to bring to justice the persons guilty of death of their sons.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on March 22, law enforcers received information about a grouping of suspected militants in the village of Plievo. During the special operation, two suspected members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) Bashir Dyshnoev and Muslim Kuriev were killed.

Relatives of the killed men and human rights defenders express their strong dissent with the official version.

According to Sarazhdin Sultygov, one of the leaders of the public organization "Mekhk-Khel," the incident that happened in Plievo is an extra-judicial execution. "During the time period, when the Olympic Games were held, no special operations were conducted. Everything was quiet. At present, everything is back: special operations are conducted again, and our guys are being killed again. We know those young people, who were killed at night of March 22. Their neighbours, relatives, and villagers who communicated with them cannot say anything bad about them," Sarazhdin Sultygov states.
