In Chechnya, prosecutors reveal major embezzlement of budgetary funds
The Prosecutor's Office of Chechnya has revealed the fact of theft of 15 million roubles in the transaction between the state unitary enterprise and the private company. The trial of the case is to begin shortly. This was reported by the Prosecutor's Office of Chechnya on January 9.
"In last November, in Grozny, during the examination of the State Unitary Enterprise (SUE) 'Orgtekhnika', prosecutors revealed the fact of embezzlement of budget funds on a large scale. According to the investigators, in 2010, Magomed-Ali Shamilev, the head of the SUE 'Orgtekhnika', signed a contract with Arbi Daudov, General Director of Limited Liability Company (LLC) 'StroyMontazhArsenal'. According to the contract, Arbi Daudov was to deliver metal to the factory for the total amount of 15 million roubles," the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by a source from the Prosecutor's Office of Chechnya.
According to the source, the above amount was then transferred to the account of LLC "StroyMontazhArsenal"; however, rolled metal products never reached the factory.
"15 million roubles were withdrawn from the account of the organization, and we are to reveal further fate of the money," the source from the Chechen Prosecutor's Office has stressed.
According to the source, if found guilty in court the head of LLC "StroyMontazhArsenal" faces up to ten years of imprisonment.
