About two thousand Armenians took part in protest action in front of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Paris

On September 18, the day of Ilham Aliev's arrival in Paris, about 2000 Armenians held protest in front of the Azerbaijani Embassy with the slogans "Aliev, get out of France!" and "Aliev is fascist!" The protesters expressed their outrage with Ilham Aliev's decision to pardon Ramil Safarov, a killer of the Armenian officer, writes the Armenian magazine "Nouvelles d'Armenie", which is published in Paris.

Similar protest actions on the day of Aliev's visit to France took place in Lyon, Marseilles and Valence, as the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the press service of the Armenian Ministry for the Diaspora.

The actions were organized by the Coordination Council of Armenian Organizations in France.

Azerbaijani and Turkish Diasporas hold protest at the Armenian Embassy in Paris

The European Azerbaijani and Turkish Diasporas held a protest in front of the Armenian Embassy in Paris. "On September 18, in front of the Armenian Embassy in Paris, a mass rally was held in protest against the occupation by this country's military forces of Azerbaijani territories," an official of the Azerbaijani State Committee for Work with the Diaspora told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to his story, the action was attended by members of Azerbaijani and Turkish organizations from Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Holland, Belgium, United Kingdom, Luxembourg and other European countries.

The participants of the rally chanted and held posters with the slogans: "Azerbaijan will soon liberate its territories from occupation", "Armenia is a terrorist state", "Justice for Khojaly!", "Karabakh is our land and will always be our land!" and "Heroes are immortal, Motherland is indivisible!"

The demonstrators also held a minute of silence for the victims of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and listened to the anthem of Azerbaijan. "The protesters stressed that Armenia's occupation policy is a threat to peace and stability in the region and urged the international community to give a fair evaluation of the conflict. They also demanded to give an international legal assessment of the Khojaly genocide (the tragic events that took place on February 25-26, 1992, in the town of Khojaly, - note of the "Caucasian Knot") and other facts of terror," the Azerbaijan State Committee for Work with the Diaspora.

According to this Committee, the rally has adopted a resolution, which condemns the "occupational policy pursued by Armenia," and demanded to give a "political and legal evaluation of the acts of terror and genocide committed during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict." The number of the participants was not specified.

Let us note here that during his visit President of Azerbaijan made no public statements on the case of Ramil Safarov and the Karabakh conflict.
