All casualties of special operation in Kabardino-Balkaria identified

All the six persons killed during the special operation conducted in the settlement of Mir in the Chegem District of Kabardino-Balkaria have been identified as Arslan Gegraev, Rustam Zhuboev, Zalimkhan Khakonov, Azret Suyunbaev, Abdul Zhanikaev and Diana Gulieva, the Investigatory Department for Kabardino-Balkaria of the Investigatory Committee of the Russian Federation (IC RF) has reported.

The house in Mir, where the special operation against a group of armed men was conducted, belonged to the family of Azret Suyunbaev. "Suyunbaev himself was registered in St Petersburg, but lived in the Chegem District," said the spokesman of the Investigatory Department.

According to the Operational Headquarters for Kabardino-Balkaria, the casualties of the special operation Gegraev, the head of the south-western sector, and Zhuboev, Khakonov and Suyunbaev, were involved in the attack on law enforcers, killing a local businessman, and extortion of money from businessmen.
