Two tourists caught by avalanche in Adygea

Today, in Adygea, at the foot of Mount Tkhach, two men were covered by avalanche; one of them managed to get out.

Now, 14 rescuers of the Adyg Search and Rescue Unit are approaching the place where the avalanche hit the man.

"According to available information, at the foot of Tkhach, two men were covered by an avalanche; one of them managed to escape; he called on his mobile phone to rescuers and told about the incident," the Russian News Service quotes a source from the press service of the Southern Regional Centre of the Russian Ministry for Emergencies (MfE).

Now, the area is under heavy snowfall, accompanied by strong wind. The air temperature is minus 12.

The men, who had suffered from the avalanche, came from Krasnodar. They failed to get registered and independently moved to the area of Mount Tkhach, the "Interfax-Yug" quotes a source from the regional law enforcement bodies.
