Lawyer attacked in Dagestan
On February 28, in the town of Kizlyar in Dagestan, the lawyer Patimat Abdulgamidovna Abdulaeva was attacked at the lawyer's office by two unidentified men. Dagestani law enforcement bodies reveal the reasons for the attack.
The attack on the lawyer has been reported by the Republic's Committee of the CPRF (Communist Party of the Russian Federation), and Patimat Abdulaeva is its active supporter. According to the information released by the Republic's Committee of the CPRF, the attackers were in masks. According to the release, the lawyer was "poured with affecting fluid." The state of Patimat Abdulaeva was not reported.
The communists attributed the attack to the election campaign. "The Bureau of the Republic's Committee of the CPRF states that the campaign for election of president of the Russian Federation is conducted in Dagestan under strict administrative pressure on consciousness and rights of citizens. And the attack on the woman, the activist of the CPRF, shows that those forms of pressure are taking the character of the criminal ones," states the message of the Republic's Committee of the CPRF, published on the website of the Party.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told by the investigatory bodies that the investigation on the fact of the accident is underway. "The issue of initiating a criminal case is to be considered. The attackers were not identified," said the source.
