17 pupils and students take part in bloggers' contest in Adygea
The organizers of the first contest of young bloggers in Adygea expect that it will become a platform for realizing the potentials of the youth and will accustom them to actively expressing their civil position. The participants believe the contest to become their rewarding experience.
The 17 participants include 6 students; others are 8-11-form pupils; they are mostly Maikop residents; four are from the Maikop District.
"We felt it necessary to develop the blogosphere in the region. Today, it has become not only the place for running electronic diaries, but also a source of new civil journalism. I wish the guys not only evaluate photos and add comments, but also talk about important things and act as civil reporters," Ruslan Natakh, Chairman of the Youth Parliament at the State Council-Khase of the Republic of Adygea, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
"We will evaluate the bloggers by a set of specific criteria – informative content of the blog, culture of language, number of comments and links to this blog, in order to see how participants are able to create really interesting things," said Mr Natakh.
According to Adam Kirzhinov, the head of the organizational team of the contest, Adygea, unlike other republics, has poorly developed blogosphere. "I wish that blogs were an essential part for the guys who care about what's happening in the republic," he added.
"Our life is now by half in the Internet environment. For myself, I think participation in the contest as a new way to express myself in another area. In modern life, the Internet and blogosphere are great and powerful tools. A human should receive this experience; it's helpful in any case," said Zamira Khachemizova, a student of the Adyg State University (ASU).
