In Dagestan, power agents release detained man after mass residents' protests

In Dagestan, where on February 21 the residents of the village of Gimry blocked the highway demanding to release of a detained local resident, it became known today that the detainee was released. People dispersed.

Protesters were also met by the head of the district police station, the "Interfax" reports.

The disappearance of Magomed Gamzatov was reported by his wife Aminat Abdurakhmanova. According to her, in the morning, her husband was taken away by about ten unidentified armed men in camouflage and masks. She has also noted that unidentified armed men opened fire into the air, when the relatives tried to talk to her husband.

Magomed Gamzatov worked as a salesman in his own shop, he has three children. Earlier, the OVD (Interior Division) of the Untsukul District and the press service of the Dagestani Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reported that they knew nothing about the incident.
