Residents of Gimry, Untsukul District block highway

Today, the republic's importance highway "Makhachkala-Botlikh" was blocked by residents of the village of Gimry, Untsukul District, who protested against kidnapping of their fellow villager – the 40-year-old Magomed Gamzatov.

"In total, there were about a thousand people. We've blocked the road, and are holding a rally. Here demands are announced that relevant structures should tell us about the fate of the kidnapped person. We'll stand here for as long as necessary," Sharafuddin Nurmagomedov, a resident of Gimry, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

The disappearance of Magomed Gamzatov was announced today by his wife – Aminat Abdurakhmanova. According to her story, in the morning he was taken away by about ten unidentified armed men in camouflage uniform and masks.

Magomed Gamzatov worked as a salesman in his own shop; he has three children. The Untsukul ROVD and press service of the Dagestani MIA said that they knew nothing about the incident.
