Moscow court extends custody for suspect of murdering Yuri Budanov until June
Today, the Presnya Court of Moscow has extended until June 9, 2012, the arrest of Magomed Suleimanov, who is accused of murdering former Colonel Yuri Budanov.
The court has satisfied the inspectors' motion to extend Suleimanov's custody by 3.5 months. According to the investigator, within this time they plan to hold a series of investigatory actions, which they failed to hold since Suleimanov's detention in August 2011.
In particular, operative agents plan to question at least ten witnesses; to receive a response to their request from the authorities of the Chechen Republic, and to visit the Ulyanovsk and Rostov Regions for undertaking the necessary actions, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
Earlier, Moscow investigators asked their colleagues from Chechnya to help in solving Yuri Budanov's murder, and sent an inquiry to Chechnya asking to identify the main suspect of murdering the former colonel - Magomed Suleimanov. According to operative data, the real name of this man is Yusup Haji Temirkhanov.
However, so far, the case has no documentary evidences of this fact that could be presented to the court. Without this, the motive for the crime is not clear; and this prevents from charging him in the final wording, the "Finam" writes.
