Zakaev demands proofs from actress Swank that she had refused from money for concert in Grozny

Charities and Akhmed Zakaev, the former head of the government of the self-proclaimed Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, demand proofs from the Hollywood star Hilary Swank that she had actually donated the money she received for her performance at Ramzan Kadyrov's birthday party to charity needs.

The disgraced Chechen politician Akhmed Zakaev has handed over to the British daily "The Independent" a copy of his letter he sent on February 13 to the name of Hilary Swank to the producers' company CAA, which organized her performance in Grozny. The letter contains an inquiry of "official information" about the charities that had received her money, the "InoPressa" reports.

The CAA refused to comment the situation, while Michelle Robertson, Ms Swank's press secretary, has assured that the actress had fulfilled her promise; however, she refused to specify where and what sums were transferred. According to her version, it is "a long habit" of Hilary Swank – she makes donations anonymously.
