The gunmen confirmed that leader of armed underground of the republic Ibrahimhalil Daydov (known as emir Salih among the gunmen) was killed in Dagestan. Sheikh Abdusalam, ethnic Turk, became his successor, a source in power-wielding structures of NCFO reports.
On February, 14, emir Salih’s dead body was found near the river in the neighbourhood of the settlement of Gurbuki after at night of February, 11, Daudov managed to escape from the scene of a special operation in Karabudakhkent district of Dagestan in which his youngest son and three supposed companions-in-arms were killed. Later NAC confirmed that the killed man was Daudov.
Web-sites supporting participants of North-Caucasian armed underground also confirmed the information of Ibrahimhalil Daydov’s death.
Daudov was a successor of a forty-two-years-old Israpil Valijanov who perished in a special operation at night of April, 18, in the highway Tashkapup-Khajadmahi, Levashi district of Dagestan. Emir Salih earlier headed the central sector of Dagestani front, a statement of leader of North-Caucasian gunmen Dokku Umarov quoted by one of the web-sites supporting the gunmen runs.
Committee of Inquiry of the Russian Federation suspected Daudov of involvement in a double act of terror in Makhachkala at night of September, 22, when one policeman perished and over 40 more people got wounded. According to NAC’s version, Daudov was also involved in a double act of terror on February, 14, in the settlement of Gubden with the participation of suicide bombers Maria Khorosheva and Vitaly Razdobudko.
“Ethnic Turk sheikh Abdusalam became Daudov’s successor”, LifeNews quotes a source in power-wielding structures of NCFO.
According to the source, after training in the terrorists’ bases in Turkey Abdusalam came to fight in Russia.
Formally, the new emir must be appointed by leader of the “Caucasus Emirate” Dokku Umarov but now communications inside the organizations are disrupted, therefore the gunmen can elect the new leader themselves”, “Commersant” reports.
There is no corroboration of this information on the web-sites supporting participants of North-Caucasian armed underground. Neither do law enforcement bodies comment on the information.
