A presentation of a joint Georgian-Ossetian film “Trace of War” passed off in Tbilisi

A presentation of a joint documentary by a Georgian and an Ossetian producer “Trace of War” narrating about friendship between a man from Georgia and one from South Ossetia passed off on February, 15, in “Rustaveli” cinema, Tbilisi.

The authors are Georgian producer Toma Chagelishvili and Zurab Tavasiev who lives in Vladikavkaz.

The film narrates about two friends: Misha Tatabadze and Temur Tskhovrebov. Tatabadze resides in Georgia as a replaced person and Tskhovrebov is a resident of a South-Ossetian settlement of Avnevi. Misha and Temur have been friends for many years. They both participated in military actions in the beginning of -1990s and in 2008 and in spite of this remain friends.

In the film the Georgian and the Ossetian meet in Istanbul after having not seen each other three years. This meeting and talks between the two friends is a part of the film which includes documentary frames. The creative group of the Ossetian party shot them in the settlement of Anevi.

The interview with the heroes of the film sounds in Georgian and Ossetian, “PIC” TV channel reports.

Producer Toma Chagelishvili said that it was the first joint work by Georgian and Ossetian cultural figures after the armed confrontation of August, 2008. This is a film about people who went through this war. The idea is that these people want to be friends and no one can hinder them if they want it”, IA “Novosti-Georgia” quotes the producer.

The creative group worked at the film for six months. The film lasts about 26 minutes. Its authors are planning to present their work at different festivals.
