Investigators find no crime elements in actions of suspected suicide bomber detained in Chechnya

The 19-year-old resident of Moscow, who was detained in Grozny on February 3 by power agents on suspicion of intention to become a suicide bomber, is at home. No criminal case was instituted against her. This was told to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by the power bodies of the republic.

"The detained potential terrorist was Daria Deryabina, the 19-year-old student of one of the Moscow universities. On February 5, she was transferred to Moscow, where secret service officers talk to her. According to our information, at present, she is at home under the care of her parents," a Chechen law enforcement officer said.

"No criminal case was instituted against her, since investigators revealed no intentions in her activities. Besides, there are no reasonable grounds to speak of her intention to contact the armed underground and become a suicide bomber. Besides, the investigators did not identify the woman, who persuaded Deryabina to go to Chechnya, and no explosive devices or anything else like that were found," the law enforcement officer has explained.

The position of Daria Deryabina herself or her representatives about the situation is not yet known.
