"Adyge-Khase" holds congress on issue of Syrian Circassians

Today, a special congress is held in the city of Maikop of the public movement "Adyge-Khase – Circassian Parliament" of the Republic of Adygea with the aim to discuss the possible help to Circassians from Syria.

"We hope that today we'll find the common language and stretch a helping hand to our compatriots, who find themselves in difficult circumstances and want to return to their homeland," said Arambiy Khapai, Chairman of "Adyge-Khase" of Adygea at the opening of the congress.

The event brought together about 1000 people – top officials of Adygea, activists of public organizations and political parties of the republic, and members of the "Adyge-Khase" Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria and the Krasnodar Territory.

All the participants were offered to get acquainted with the special issue of the newspaper "Vestnik" of the Public Movement of the Republic of Adygea "Adyge-Khase", which is published in the Russian and Adyg languages. The main topic of the February issue of the newspaper was the congress of the "Adyge-Khase", while the only point on the agenda of the congress is the situation with Circassians in Syria and the search for the way out of it.
