Family of tractor driver who perished on Highway Volgograd-Saratov will receive material help
The family of Yuri Fateev, the tractor driver, who died of frostbite while clearing snow from the Highway Volgograd-Saratov, will receive financial assistance. The corresponding order was issued by Sergey Bozhenov, Governor of the Volgograd Region, the regional administration reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the afternoon on February 2, three persons with symptoms of frostbite were delivered to hospital from a traffic jam in the Volgograd Region. One of them - a tractor driver who was involved in clearing snow off the highway - got in a coma in hospital. On February 5, he died in a Saratov hospital without regaining consciousness.
The Fateev's family will receive financial help from several sources: 150,000 roubles will be allocated from the regional budget within the programme of targeted social help to citizens; the same amount will be paid to the family by the Regional State Unitary Enterprise (RSUE) "Avtodor", where the perished driver had worked.
The RSUE will also bear all the costs associated with the funeral, which will take place in the village of Linyovo, Zhirnov District, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
The administration of the Zhirnov Municipal District will not stand aside either and will also help the relatives of the frozen tractor driver, the "Volgograd.ru" reports.
Meanwhile, the health condition of Anatoly Podmazin, another victim of the emergency situation on the Highway Volgograd-Saratov, is treated today as satisfactory, the Volgograd-based portal "Hometown" reports. He is in the central city hospital of Kamyshin, where he receives the necessary medical care.
