In Zugdidi, Abkhazian refugees evicted from premises of former factory

Starting from February 4, the Georgian city of Zugdidi began the eviction of refugees from the building of the former plant. The authorities promise to provide them with temporary accommodation in kindergartens.

According to Bella Kiriya, Chief Specialist of the Department for Refugees of Adzharia and Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, the kindergartens with normal living conditions were specially selected for refugees.

The refugees will temporary stay in the kindergartens No. 1 and No. 7, since, according to the authorities, till the end of the year Zugdidi will construct residential housings for them. The refugees are notified about that, and settlement is made only with their consent, the edition "Georgia-line" reports with reference to the "Live Press".

Bella Kiriya has emphasized that if any kindergarten requires repairs, they will be provided by the Department for Refugees, the "Echo of the Caucasus" reports.

The reasons for eviction of the refugees from the building of the former plant have not been reported yet.
