In Nagorno-Karabakh, soldier shot dead his colleague by negligence
On February 5, in one of the positions of the south-east (Gadrut) direction of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani contact line, a serviceman Gor Alaverdyan wounded his colleague Marat Dimaksyan, who died on the way to the hospital.
The incident occurred at 7:20 p.m. local time. The victim died at about 9:00 p.m.
On the fact of the incident, the investigatory department of the Second Garrison of the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD) initiated a criminal case on grounds of committing a crime under Part 3 of Article 373 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia "violation of rules for handling weapons, ammunition, which by negligence led to death of a person."
According to Mery Sargsyan, Senior Officer of the public relations service of the Investigative Service of the Armenian MoD, the soldier Gor Alaverdyan has not been arrested yet, the "Armenpress" reports.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 2, on the way to the military hospital, Karlen Bagdasaryan, a regular soldier of the Defence Army, died. According to preliminary information, the soldier committed suicide while on a combat position located in the south direction of the contact line of the troops of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan.
On the fact of the death of Karlen Bagdasaryan, the Second Garrison Investigatory Division of the Investigatory Service of the Armenian MoD has initiated a criminal case under Article "incitement to suicide," the "Epress.am" reports.
