Sochi hosts rally against fraudulent elections

Today, at 2:00-4:00 p.m. Moscow time, a rally was held in Sochi within the nationwide campaign "For Fair Elections", which was attended by about three hundred people.

The protesters marched from the Sochi administration to the Central Department Store bearing white balloons and ribbons and scanning "Russia without Putin!", "No to thieves and swindlers!", "Down with crooks and thieves!" and "Russia for fair elections!" They held posters: "We don't trust this government!", "We don't believe Putin!", "We are for fair elections!" and "Down with Churov!"

Leaders of local branches of political parties "Spravedlivaya Rossiya", LDPR, CPRF and "Yabloko" came to support the protesters.

About 15 speakers addressed the rally; they urged citizens to be vigilant, to show their civil stand and vote at the presidential election for any candidate except Putin.

The rally passed without incidents; the police, local administration and the "Edinaya Rossiya" (United Russia) Party watched the event from afar.
