Gimry villager reports beating his neighbours by law enforcers
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed today by Shamil Magomedov, a resident of the village of Gimry, Untsukul District of Dagestan, that in the course of operative-search actions law enforcers detained three local residents, who were later beaten.
"At seven o'clock in the morning one of the houses was blocked by armed local OMON (riot police) fighters in camouflage. The house was surrounded by ICVs (infantry combat vehicles) with unjacketed machineguns. Policemen conducted a search, found nothing, but took away three young guys from neighbouring houses - Magomed Baisultanov, born in 1988, Aslangerei Magomedov, born in 1988, and Zainudin Zainudinov, born in 1983," said the source.
According to Shamil Magomedov, the Jamaat of the village followed the detainees, and by the lunch time they were released. "They were badly beaten; one of them had a dislocated leg. The guys were taken to the hospital and received first aid there; the dislocation was corrected; and now they are in bed at home," said the source.
The on duty unit of the Untsukul ROVD (District Interior Division) told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that no incidents of this sort had been registered in the district on that day.
