Court reduced punishment of Dmitry Putenikhin, activist of "The Other Russia"
The Tver Court of Moscow has shortened down to six months the term of corrective works, earlier awarded to Dmitry Putenikhin, an activist "The Other Russia", for splashing water into the face of the prosecutor, said Ekaterina Ilyina, the press secretary of the court.
"Today, the Court has upheld the cassation presentation of the prosecutor's office by excluding the conviction that Putenikhin had had earlier out of the sentence due to its expiration and reduced the term of his corrective works from seven to six months," said Ilyina.
She noted that earlier the Court had included the period spent by Putenikhin at the SIZO (pre-trial prison) at the stage of investigation into the six months of his corrective works, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
