Investigation into murder of anti-fascist Dzhaparidze completed in Moscow

In Moscow, the materials of the investigation into the case of the murder of anti-fascist Ilya Dzhaparidze were presented to parties for studying.

Let us remind you that the murder of Ilya Dzhaparidze was committed on June 28, 2009, on the eve of the match, where the fan of the "Dinamo" FC was going to hold an anti-fascist action, posting the banner "Football against Racism". In November 2009, Yuri Tikhomirov, a 24-year-old resident of Dubna, a Moscow region town, was detained on suspicion for commitment of that crime.

Alexander Vasiliev, the lawyer of the defendant Tikhomirov, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that the preliminary investigation into the criminal case of the murder of anti-fascist Ilya Dzhaparidze had been completed and that the very case would be sent to the Lublino District Court of Moscow.

The defender has explained that, instead of the previously filed charges, at present, his client is charged of violation of Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("infliction of grievous bodily harm by negligence resulting in death of victim"). The Article provides imprisonment of up to 15 years. The trial of the crime does not stipulate consideration of the case by jury.
