Media FM was constituted by "Digital Media" limited company and started broadcasting in February, 2009, after winning a tender held by National Council of Television and Radio (NCTR) on taking the frequency 105,7 MHz in Baku and Apsheron, IA "APA" reports. Since the autumn of 2010 the radio station has been broadcasting on the whole territory of Azerbaijan.
