"Ecological Watch": discharge of treacle into the Black Sea registered in the neighbourhood of Temriuk
Discharge of treacle into the water area of the Black Sea occurred near the settlement of Volna, Temriuk district of Krasnodar region, at a sea terminal of "Food Ingredients" limited company, "Ecological Watch on North Caucasus" reports.
According to the ecologists, the incident took place at night of January, 25, as a result of rupture of a junction on a transportation tubing going from the beginning of the pier up to the berth.
By their data, from 100 to 300 ton treacle all in all were discharged into the sea and the pollution was eliminated by the company itself. Access to the site of the incident was blocked by security service of the enterprise, web-site of "Ecological Watch on North Caucasus" referring to local residents' evidence reports.
In the middle of January a similar accident already occurred on the same tubing as a result of which 50 ton treacle were discharged to the shore, "Yuga.ru" reports.
