Lawyer Umar Sagidmagomedov was one of casualties at car shelling in Makhachkala
One of those killed in the evening on January 20 in a car in Kotrov Street in Makhachkala had the ID of Umar Sagidmagomedov, a lawyer of the City Bar Association "Kavkaz".
"We, relatives, associate the murder of lawyer Sagidmagomedov with his work; he, same as the second casualty, had nothing to do with illegal armed formations (IAFs)," says the message, which has arrived today at the SMS-service of the "Caucasian Knot".
"The ID of Umar Sagidmagomedov, a lawyer of the City Bar Association 'Kavkaz', was found on one of the casualties, killed in a car in Kotrov Street in Makhachkala. The second casualty is supposed to be a certain Kurbanov," said a law enforcement source from Makhachkala.
"Rasul Kurbanov is a brother of the RGVK journalist Jamila Kurbanova; and the lawyer was his relative and defended several defendants in terror cases," writes the reader of the "Caucasian Knot" tiger122 under the first news report about the murder.
According to law enforcement bodies, power agents tried to stop a VAZ-21014 car for a check; the car was driven Sagidmagomedov. However, Kurbanov, who was in the car as a passenger, opened fire at power agents; the latter opened fire in response and shot dead both of them, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
