Alla Djioeva refuses to run for South-Ossetian presidency

Alla Djioeva, a former presidential candidate in South Ossetia, said at a rally in Tskhinvali that she does not consider the repeated presidential election scheduled for March 25 as legitimate and would not take part in it.

The oppositional rally in Tskhinvali, which was not sanctioned by the authorities, brought together about 200 people, who voiced out the demands to dismiss the Public Prosecutor General and the Chairman of the Supreme Court of South Ossetia and revise the court decision to cancel the election results, the RBC reports.

"This (the presidential election scheduled for March 25, – comment of the "Caucasian Knot") is an illegitimate election, and I will not take any part in it," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Djioeva's words spoken at the rally.

According to her story, she is waiting for an answer from the Acting President of South Ossetia Vadim Brovtsev about the decisions made in response to her appeal, where she had withdrawn her signature under the agreement signed with Eduard Kokoity, the "Interfax" reports.
