About hundred communists come to rally in Astrakhan
Today, Lenin Square in Astrakhan was the venue of the rally, organized by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF) in memory of Vladimir Lenin. The action attracted 100 local residents.
The event was held under the slogans "For decent life!", "For fair elections!" and "Zyuganov is our president!" Not only CPRF members, but also activists of other political parties and associations were present.
Apart from speeches on the 88th anniversary of Lenin's death, the issue of the upcoming on March 4 presidential election in Russia was raised. In particular, the participants proposed to amend the electoral legislation.
The rally has addressed all presidential candidates, runners for the post of Mayor of Astrakhan and candidates for City Duma Deputies (early election of the Mayor and elections of Deputies will also take place on March 4, 2012) with an appeal to strictly observe the electoral laws.
