A citizen of the Russian Federation detained in Georgia for accusation of illegal crossing the border
Servicemen of frontier police in Georgia detained citizen of the Russian Federation Armen Gasparyan. He is accused of illegal crossing the Armenian-Georgian border.
Press service of the frontier police reported today that on January, 14, "Armen Gasparyan crossed the border between Georgia and Armenia bypassing the checkpoint".
According to the border guards, Gasparyan tried to hide himself from the frontier flying squad. After crossing the border he intended to go to Russia, IA "Trend" reports.
The investigation is going in accordance with the clause "Illegal crossing the state border of Georgia". In case if Gasparyan's guilt is proven he may be fined or sentenced to up to five years of custody, IA "Novosti-Georgia" reports.
