Workers of construction companies hold rally in Grozny
About a hundred former workers two Turkish construction companies - "Penta" and "Bora-Inshaat" - have held a rally in Grozny to demand payment of wage debts.
The protesters gathered in Akhmad Kadyrov Avenue in Grozny.
As reported by a worker of the "Bora Inshaat", who preferred to remain anonymous, the people kept standing opposite the "Consumers' House" from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., but "nobody came out to talk to them."
"At the previous rally on December 13, 2011, we were promised a meeting with members of the government; however, this did not happen. We had planned to voice out our demands, but now it seems that the only hope for settling the conflict is with the appeal to Kremlin top officials," said the source. According to his story, the builders are planning to hold another rally on January 18.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed at the Ministry of Justice of Chechnya that they had received no notification about the rally; they knew nothing about the action.
Let us remind you that the conflict of the workers of the Turkish construction companies "Penta" and "Bora Inshaat" with their bosses burst out in November 2011: the builders were not paid their wages for several months.
