Families of power agents who perished killed in Vedeno District of Chechnya to get million roubles each

The Chechen authorities will pay one million roubles to every family of the law enforcers lost in the special operation undertaken in the Vedeno District.

The wounded participants of the operation were promised 300,000 roubles each, the local Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) reports.

A group of militants about 10 fighters strong was detected on January 8 near the village of Tevzen-Kale, Vedeno District. According to the Russian MIA, five members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) were liquidated in the course of the operation.

The armed clash and explosions of the mines installed by the militants resulted in four killed power agents; other 16 participants in the special operation received wounds of various severity.
