Court fines journalist of "Astrakhanskaya Pravda" by 500 roubles
In Astrakhan, the court found guilty Alexander Kirpichenko, the activist of the CPRF (Communist Party of the Russian Federation), the journalist of the newspaper "Astrakhanskaya Pravda", accused of violating the established order of the rally, and sentenced him to a fine of 500 roubles.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 24, 2011, Astrakhan hosted an unsanctioned rally against falsifications of the results of the elections to the State Duma, which was attended by 300 persons. Alexander Kirpichenko was detained after the opposition rally.
Today, the hearings were continued. Oleg Shein, the deputy of the Regional Duma and participants of the deputy meeting Rinat Kinzhuvaev, Jaroslav Savin, Sergey Kozhanov, and Alexander Tokarev spoke in defence of Alexander Kirpichenko. Representatives of law enforcement agencies and administration of the Kirov District did not attend the hearing, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
The court session lasted 1 hour and 25 minutes, after that the judge made a decision to find Alexander Kirpichenko guilty of violating the established order of the meeting, rally, demonstration, procession or picketing and sentenced him to a fine of 500 roubles.
