Russian MIA: five militants killed in special operation in Chechnya
According to recent data, five members of illegal armed formations (IAFs) were liquidated in a special operation undertaken in the Vedeno District of Chechnya, said a source from the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Russia.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that a group of about ten militants was found on January 8 near the village of Tevzen-Kale, Vedeno District. Earlier, it was reported about three members of the armed underground, liquidated in the course of that special operation. Later, information appeared about the killing of the fourth alleged militant in the Vedeno District of Chechnya.
"As a result of operative actions, the members of the bandit grouping were blocked and killed. According to preliminary information, five militants were liquidated; and a huge amount of weapons and ammunition was found in the place. Now the killed militants are being identified," said the spokesman of the MIA, adding that and operative-investigatory group had left to the place of the incident.
The press centre of the Russian MIA has confirmed the information, noting that the details of the operation will be released on completion of the activities, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
Let us remind you that earlier it was reported that the armed clash that burst out there resulted in the loss of four power agents; and over ten persons were wounded. Today, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was told at the MIA that in the armed clash two power agents were lost and 14 more wounded. Later, the Russian MIA made it clear that in the Vedeno District three servicemen of internal troops and an employee of the Chechen MIA were lost.
