Abkhazian and Georgian commissions to search for the missing met on initiative of Georgian party

A meeting on the problem of searching for the missing initiated by the Georgian party was held at the Ingur check-point, which is situated on the Georgian-Abkhazian border, on December 11. The Georgian party was presented by deputy head of the commission to search for the missing Vladimir Dobordzhgenidze and a member of the commission Baba Chaduneli. In conformity with the agreement reached in Ochamchira on November 17, the Georgian party had to produce information on Abkhazians who remain missing after the 1992-1993 Patriotic War.

"Unfortunately, we have not received any useful information about the burial places of Abkhazian soldiers and civilians who remain missing after the 1992-1993 Patriotic War of Abkhazian People," chairman of the Abkhazian commission to search for the missing Robert Basariya told journalists in his interview. The Abkhazian party expressed a protest to the members of the Georgian commission in connection with this fact.
