Picket against authorities' actions held in Sochi
Today, residents of the resort city of Sochi, Krasnodar Territory, went out to hold another picket in protest against authorities' actions.
The "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports that the picket was more than 50 persons strong; and it was sanctioned by the city administration. According to lawyer Mikhail Sokolov, who was authorized by Sochi residents, "he spent a week to coordinate the picket."
The picketers who held their previous event on December 18 were now supported by new public organizations, political parties and individual Sochi residents. Thus, together with the members of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), the two-hour-long picket was attended by activists of the "Spravedlivaya Rossiya" (Fair Russia) Party, who held posters: "Housing and communal sphere of Sochi is neither managed nor controlled!", "Gas consumption norm in Sochi is 36 percent higher than in Moscow. Is Sochi water cooler?"
