Suspect of attacking 16-year-old Bagrat Asatryan detained in Krasnodar

A football fan was detained in Krasnodar, who had nearly killed Bagrat Asatryan, 16. This was announced at the meeting of the head of Krasnodar Vladimir Evlanov with leaders and activists of national and cultural associations of the city, which took place on December 21.

The attack on the teenager was committed on December 13 in central Krasnodar. According to Bagrat's parents, he was attacked by a group of more than 20 youngsters, who beat the boy with a bat. One of the attackers started knifing him in the back, in the area of the heart, when Bagrat Asatryan was already on the ground. At the hospital, where the victim was taken, doctors counted twelve stab wounds. His lungs were also severely damaged, the "Yuga.ru" reports.

Apart from the 18-year-old offender, who was knifing the victim, and who has already given his confession, other 12 participants of the attack have been established. All the detainees are college students or unemployed, aged 18-22; they are all football fans. Law enforcers possess information that allows revealing other participants of the attack on the teenager.

As reported by the "Erkramas", Information Centre of the Newspaper of Armenians of Russia, inspectors are now studying the version that the crime was committed on the grounds of national hatred.
